Update: Supreme Court Allows Full Enforcement of Travel Ban
On Monday, the Supreme Court allowed the Administration to fully enforce its ban on travel from eight countries, including six Muslim-majority countries: Syria, Libya, Iran, Yemen, Chad and Somalia. Even those travelers with "bona-fide relationships" with U.S. persons or entities can now be denied entry. The ban will be implemented at least until cases are heard before the Fourth and Ninth circuit in the coming days. MFA is deeply dismayed that the Court is allowing this discriminatory order to go into effect.
Please note that this will not influence the refugee ban, which is being separately challenged.
