Our founder, Dr. Georgette F. Bennett, wrote a piece in The Daily Beast about two Anti-Syrian Refugee immigration bills that are quickly passing through Congress. In theory, the bills would prevent terrorists from entering America by improving the security checks on refugees before arriving on American soil. In reality, these two bills perpetuate religious intolerance and Islamophobia, violating the core principle of all great faiths-- to act in the face of human suffering.
