Ionut Gitan

Manager of Creative and Humanitarian Relief

Ionut Gitan is Manager of Creative and Humanitarian Relief for the Multifaith Alliance for Syrian Refugees. He develops concepts and visual designs  to communicate the story of Multifaith Alliance. Ionut also helps manage humanitarian relief for all exports and domestic shipments.

As a refugee from Romania, Ionut is compelled to help Syrian refugees because of shared experiences. Like many Syrians today, he also immigrated to the United States through Greece. Learn more about Ionut's refugee story here. 

 

Prior to his role at the Multifaith Alliance, Ionut worked in business, marketing, project management, and public relations for a major Japanese fashion company, living in both New York City and Tokyo. He is fluent in English, Romanian, and Japanese. Ionut holds a B.A. from the University of Michigan and forthcoming M.A. in International Politics & International Business from New York University and the Stern School of Business. He lives in New York City.
