Bennett Gross

Executive Director

Bennett Gross’ diverse business, legal and nonprofit background includes more than 25 years both in and as an advisor to senior management. He has regularly advised corporate boards, lenders and investors on strategic direction, profit enhancement, vendor relations, crisis management, acquisitions and divestitures. Bennett has significant experience in leading complex projects in a wide variety of industries including financial and operational restructurings in retailing, telecommunications, technology, computer hardware, military armor design, airlines, publishing and manufacturing.

 

Bennett began his career at Weil Gotshal & Manges, was a Group Vice President at R.H. Macy & Co., Inc., the General Counsel of the Caldor Corporation, and a Managing Director at Huron Consulting Group. Bennett subsequently co-founded the Callydus Group, which provides expense restructuring and strategic sourcing services and has implemented savings in excess of $180 Million for its middle market clients. Opting to devote his energies to the nonprofit world, Bennett subsequently served as the Interim COO of the Museum of Jewish Heritage, and joined MFA in January 2016.

 

Bennett also currently serves on the Board of Advertex, the marketing subsidiary of Macy’s, Inc. He received his J.D, cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center and graduated first in his class with a B.A. in Philosophy, summa cum laude, from Pennsylvania State University.
