Allyson Zacharoff
Coordinator of Operations and Multifaith Strategy
After witnessing the incredible value of religious diversity in her own multifaith family growing up, Allyson Zacharoff came to realize the critical need for cross-faith dialogue in the broader world today. Since 2012, she has been working in interfaith relations, striving to bring people together from different faith and non-faith backgrounds in order to work towards a more peaceful world.
In 2013-2014, Allyson was the first and only Jewish individual to receive a Russell Berrie Fellowship in Interreligious Studies to attend the Pontifical University of St. Thomas Aquinas in Rome. She then worked as the founding Coordinator of the Multifaith Alliance from 2014-2016, before taking a year to delve into Jewish studies in Jerusalem at Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies as an inaugural Conflict Resolution Fellow in 2016-2017. She is also a member of ACWAY (A Common Word Among the Youth), a group made up of more than 100 young people from around the world who are all committed to fostering interfaith and intercultural dialogue.
Allyson is now in the U.S. to pursue a Graduate Certificate in Islamic Studies as part of the International Peacemaking Program at Hartford Seminary in Connecticut in 2017-2018, while also returning to work at the Multifaith Alliance, developing the organization’s multifaith strategy. She documents her interfaith experiences on her blog, www.christmasandkreplach.blogspot.com.
